Women's Lacrosse Drops KCAC Tournament Championship Game to (8) Missouri Baptist

Box Score St. Louis, Mo.- The Ottawa women's lacrosse team's KCAC Tournament campaign came to an end as they fell to (8) Missouri Baptist in the championship game on Saturday afternoon.

Missouri Baptist was in control for most of the game, using 7-2 and 6-1 first and second periods to take a 13-3 halftime lead. The Spartans used 2-0 and 3-3 third and fourth periods to preserve their lead.

Mackenzie Simmons lead Ottawa with three goals. KaiAnna Senne, Curstin Brown, and Faith Ruoff scored one goal each. Ashley Santillan made two assists, Felicia Dixon made one. Shelby Bearden made eight saves.

Ottawa ends the season with a 7-8 overall record and 3-1 KCAC record. Eight Braves were named to All-KCAC Teams, and Mackenzie Simmons was named the KCAC Offensive Player of the Year.
