Men's Volleyball Ends Regular Season With Loss to (9) Jamestown, 3-0

JAMESTOWN, N.D. – The Ottawa University men's volleyball team fell 3-0 to no. 9 University of Jamestown on Saturday morning.

How it Happened
  • Jamestown jumped out to a 10-2 lead in set one. OU rallied and after a kill by Max Baumann and two straight Jimmie attacking errors, OU was within 12-11. Ottawa stayed within striking distance were within 23-22 after after an Akeil Williams kill. OU was not able to complete the comeback and Jamestown scored the final two points to take the 25-22 victory.
  • The Braves got off to a slow start in set three and was down 12-3 to the Jimmies. Ottawa was not able to rebound and Jamestown took the 25-11 victory.
  • With set three tied 8-8, Jamestown went on a 6-3 run to take the lead 14-11. OU was not able to respond and the Jimmies took the 25-19 victory.

  • Ottawa finished the match with 31 kills, a .101 attacking percentage, 27 assists, 39 digs and three team blocks.
  • Akeil Williams led OU with 12 kills. He had seven digs and two blocks.
  • Andrew Salinas finished with 13 assists and he led OU with nine digs.

Ottawa (5-16) now play in the GPAC Tournament, starting on April 13. The tournament seeds will be released at a later date.
