NORTH NEWTON, Kan. – The Ottawa University men's basketball team was defeated 95-75 by Bethel College in Thresher Gymnasium on Saturday evening.
The first nine minutes of the game went back and forth with Bethel leading the Braves 21-20. The Threshers then went on a run, scoring the next 10 points to take a 31-21 lead with 7:46 left in the first half.

Najee Jones cut the deficit to eight points, 31-23. Bethel's Eli Wiseman converted a four-point play, giving BC a 35-23 lead. Ottawa cut the deficit to eight points, 39-31, on a Jones' 3-pt field goal with 4:33 remaining in the first half.
Bethel was able to increase its lead back to double figures in the final minutes of the second half, taking a 48-37 lead into the locker room.
In the first four minutes of the second half, the Threshers went on an 19-8 run and led 67-45. The Braves were not able to rally and Bethel took a 94-75 victory.
