KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Ottawa University men's volleyball team opened their season today with road tests against Graceland University and Rockhurst University. The Braves defeated Graceland, 3-0, to win its season opener but fell 3-0 to Rockhurst.

- Ottawa finished the match with 40 kills, a .478 attacking percentage, 40 assists, four service aces, 41 digs, and eight team blocks.
- Macort Pickup led OU with 10 kills. He had a .600 attacking percentage, eight digs, two service aces, and two blocks.
- Marton Zarka finished with 32 assists, one service ace, and five digs.
- Nazmi Bayoglu tallied 10 digs.
- Akeil Williams led the Braves with four blocks.

Ottawa (1-1) will now compete in the Pirate Invitational in Parkville, Mo. on Friday, Jan. 31 and Saturday, Feb. 1. OU plays Central Christian College on Friday at 2pm. On Saturday, Westcliff University at 12pm and Goshen College at 4pm.
