Men's Basketball Hosts Evangel on Wednesday in WFH

The Braves won their second straight game with an 87-75 victory over York University on Saturday afternoon in Wilson Field House. The win was also interim head coach Jamie Batish's first collegiate career coaching win. Ottawa shot 52.1 percent from the floor, 44.4 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 50 percent from the free throw line. OU had five players in double figures led by Keith Robinson's 20 points. He also led OU in rebounding with nine. Jayden Hibbitt scored 13 points, PJ Twa finished with 12 points and Payton Kaiser and Braylon Wheeler scored 11 points apiece. Hibbitt had eight assists, one block, and two steals. Buggage finished the game with five assists. Kaiser had four steals.

Ottawa is averaging 82.3 points, 40.4 rebounds, and 15.3 assists per game. OU shooting 46.2 percent from the floor, 32.7 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 75.9 percent from the free throw line.

Jayden Hibbitt leads OU in scoring (16.8), Keith Robinson is Ottawa's leader in rebounding (8.7), Najee Jones leads the team in assists (3.1), Alex Riddick is the team's leader in blocks (0.9), and Jones leads OU in steals (1.8) per game.

OU had five players in double figures. Jayden Hibbitt had 20 points and three assists. Alex Riddick came off the bench to score 15 points. He had two blocks and one steal. Keith Robinson recorded his second straight double-double, his fourth overall, with 14 points and 11 rebounds. He had four assists. Najee Jones scored 13 points and had three steals. Deondre Buggage scored 12 points. Braylon Wheeler led OU with five assists.

Ottawa is 11-4 when four or more players score in double figures, 2-1 when three players score in double figures, and 1-1 when two or fewer players score in double figures.

Evangel University is 9-11 overall, has a KCAC mark of 6-8, is 3-5 on the road this season, and enters Wednesday's game coming off a 92-67 road victory over Sterling College last Saturday. EU is 3-2 in its last five games.

The Valor are averaging 79.2 points, 31.9 rebounds, and 16.9 assists per game. They are shooting 43.8 percent from the floor, 32.9 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 77.5 percent from the free throw line.
