RED OAK, Iowa – The Ottawa University women's tennis team fell 5-2 to Doane University at the YMCA on Sunday.

Paula Persson and Valeria Rodriguez fell in their no. 1 doubles match 7-5. In no. 2 doubles, Alejandra Parra and Camryn Medina lost 6-4.

Rodriguez won her no. 2 singles match over Mariana Espinosa, 6-4, 6-0. Medina defeated Isabella Castillero 6-0, 6-2 in no. 4 singles. Persson fell 6-0, 6-0 in no. 1 singles to Maria Purizaca. Parra lost er no. 3 singles match 6-3, 6-1 over Liz Calderon.

Ottawa (0-2) returns to action on Thursday, February 20 against Concordia University in Seward, Neb. The match is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
