Men's Lacrosse Ends Michigan Trip at (8) Aquinas

Ottawa, KAN. - The Ottawa men's lacrosse team ends their non-conference slate with a Saturday game at (8) Aquinas.
  • The Braves are coming off a 4-22 loss at (RV) Siena Heights on Thursday. Braydon Francis and Mark Spells led Ottawa with two goals each. Spells made one assist. Dylan Murano made 17 saves in the cage for his collegiate debut. The Braves were 15-27 in clear attempts, and caused 24 turnovers.
  • Braydon Francis and Mark Spells are Ottawa's joint-goals leaders with two each. Spells is the Braves' assists leader with one as well as the Braves' faceoff leader, going 5-18 (.278) on Thursday.
  • Aquinas is opening up their season with this game, the first of four straight against Heart of America Conference opponents.
  • The Saints are coming off an 11-3 2024 season which featured a 6-2 WHAC record and a loss in the WHAC Tournament semifinals.
  • Ottawa and Aquinas have met three times, all three in Ottawa. Aquinas picked up 16-13 and 15-13 wins in 2017 and 2024, and Ottawa won in 2019 via a forfeit.
  • This is the second straight game that Ottawa is playing a WHAC team with Saints as their mascot.
