OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University women's tennis team was defeated 5-2 by Morningside University on Friday morning in Forest Park.
 
Camryn Medina and Alejandra Parra won their no. 2 doubles match 6-2 over Stefany Simplicio and Kailee Bailey. Valeria Rodriguez and Paula Persson fell 6-3 in no. 1 doubles.
 
Persson won her no. 2 singles match 6-4 7-6 (3) over Brooke Marshall. Parra took a 6-7 (3), 6-3, 12-10 victory in no. 3 singles against Kailee Bailey. Rodriguez lost her no. 1 singles match to Lina Jensen 6-2, 6-4. Media lost her no. 4 singles match 6-2, 6-3 over Simplicio.
 
Ottawa (3-8) returns to the court on Saturday, March 15 in Springfield, Mo. against Evangel University. The match is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m.
