Ottawa, KAN. - The Ottawa women's lacrosse team starts a homestand as they host (2) Benedictine at AdventHealth Field.
The Braves are 5-5 on the season and 4-0 in conference play. They currently sit at the top of the Heart of America Athletic Conference standings.
Ottawa is coming off an 11-9 win at UHSP on Saturday. Rilee Barnett led Ottawa with four goals, Makayla Mason scored three. Brianna Valadao scored two goals, Isabella Pagliei and Faith Ruoff scored one each. Valadao made two assists, Pagliei, KaiAnna Senne, Ashlyn Lopez, and Liv Staberg scored one each. Shelby Bearden made ten saves in goal for the Braves.
Rilee Barnett is Ottawa's goals leader with 25 goals. KaiAnna Senne is assists leader with 13. Brianna Valadao is the groundballs leader with 33. Barnett is the draw controls leader with 34.

Chanterra Allen's 71 goals leads the NAIA, Kaylen Moore is third in the NAIA with 47 goals. Moore's 45 assists leads the NAIA, and Allen and Moore are first and second in points with 94 and 92.
Kaylen Moore has won the HAAC Defensive Player of the Week all six times this season, along with one HAAC Offensive Player of the Week. Chanterra Allen has four HAAC Offensive Player of the Week honors this season.
Ottawa and UHSP have played 16 times, with Benedictine leading the series 15-1. Benedictine has won 12 straight, including both teams' season opener 26-1 in Atchison. Ottawa's lone win in the series came in 2017 in Leavenworth by a score of 10-9.
