Softball and Avila Play at Alumni Park on Wednesday

Ottawa has an overall record of 18-16 and a KCAC mark of 8-4. The Braves are on a two game winning streak and have a 6-6 record at home this season.

The Braves swept Bethel College last Saturday in North Newton. OU won game one 7-1 and took game two in six innings, 11-2.

Through 34 games this season, Ottawa has scored 200 runs and have hit 12 home runs. OU has a .307 batting average, a .388 on base percentage, and a .458 slugging percentage.

Macy Roever leads the team in batting average (.407), Addison Spencer is OU's leader in RBI (28), Roever leads Ottawa in stolen bases (35), Cesara Roque is the Braves' leader in ERA (3.45), and Lanie Becker is OU's leader in strike outs (24).

Macy Roever has 35 stolen bases this season which equals her total from 2024. Those 35 stolen bases put her fourth in the OU record book in single season stolen bases. The school record for stolen bases in a season is 46 by Michelle Bowman in 2011. Roever is ranked fourth in the NAIA in stolen bases.

Ottawa has a record of 15-27 against Avila University and is on a three game winning streak against the Eagles. OU took the double header last season in Kansas City, Mo. with OU taking game one 7-2 and game two in eight innings, 6-5. The Braves defeated Avila 11-3 at the KCAC Tournament on May 2 in Great Bend, Kan. OU has won four straight games against Avila at Alumni Park. The last time OU lost to the Eagles at home was on April 17, 2019. Avila won the game 13-4. The first ever meeting between the two teams was on March 11, 1996. Avila won the game 11-8.

Avila University has an overall record of 18-12, is 8-2 in the KCAC, has lost two straight games, and is 3-2 on the road this season. The Eagles had their nine game winning streak snapped on March 29 at Sterling. Avila was swept last Saturday 5-4 and 8-1 by the Warriors.

Through 30 games this season, Avila has scored 150 runs and hit 12 home runs. AU has a .302 batting average, a .387 on base percentage, and a .433 slugging percentage.

Maya Richards leads Avila in batting average (.439), Stephanie Hayes is AU's leader in RBI (28), Richards leads the team in stolen bases (16), and McKayla Cotton leads the Eagles in ERA (2.80) and strike outs (60).

Avila is ranked 32nd in the NAIA in triples (10), 44th in home runs (12), 24th in walks (94), seventh in sacrifice hits (35), and 28th in stolen bases (68).
