Women's Lacrosse to Host UHSP in HAAC Tournament Quarterfinal

Ottawa, KAN. - The Ottawa women's lacrosse team opens their postseason at home against UHSP.

The Braves are 7-8 on the season and 6-2 in conference play.
Ottawa is coming off a 16-25 loss at (8) Missouri Baptist on Wednesday in their regular season finale. Rilee Barnett led Ottawa with six goals, Ashlyn Lopez scored four. Makayla Mason and KaiAnna Senne scored two goals each, Curstin Brown and Faith Ruoff scored one apiece. Barnett made three assists, Senne made two. Ruoff and Valadao made one assist each. Eliza White made 4 saves in goal, Shelby Bearden made four.
Rilee Barnett is Ottawa's goals leader with 42 goals. KaiAnna Senne is the assists leader with 22. Brianna Valadao is the groundballs leader with 54. Barnett is the draw controls leader with 53.
UHSP is 6-8 on the season and 3-5 in conference play.
The Eutectics are coming off a 5-15 loss at Culver-Stockton on Wednesday.
Ella Penke is UHSP's goals and assists leader with 27 and 15, respectively. Nadiya Delvois is the Eutectics groundballs leader with 35.
Ottawa and UHSP have met four times, Ottawa has won all four.
The Braves are 1-0 in postseason games against UHSP, with that won with being a 17-5 victory in the KCAC Tournament Semifinals last season.
The two teams met in the regular season on March 22, which resulted in a last-minute 11-9 victory for Ottawa. Rilee Barnett led Ottawa with four goals, Makayla Mason scored three. Brianna Valadao scored two goals, Isabella Pagliei and Faith Ruoff scored one each. Valadao made two assists, Pagliei, KaiAnna Senne, Ashlyn Lopez, and Liv Staberg scored one each. Shelby Bearden made ten saves in goal for the Braves.
The winner of this game will move on to face second seeded (8) Missouri Baptist in the semifinals.
