Women's Lacrosse at (8) Missouri Baptist For Heart Tournament Semifinal

Ottawa, KAN. - The Ottawa women's lacrosse team looks to keep their season alive as they travel to (8) Missouri Baptist for a Heart Tournament semifinal matchup.

The Braves are 8-8 on the season and 6-2 in conference play.
Ottawa is coming off a 19-4 win over UHSP in the Heart Tournament quarterfinals on Saturday. Rilee Barnett led Ottawa with six goals, Ashlyn Lopez scored four. Makayla Mason and Isabella Pagliei scored three goals each, KaiAnna Senne scored two, Faith Ruoff scored one. Senne and Brianna Valadao made two assists each, Mason and Pagliei made one apiece. Shelby Bearden made three saves in goal en route to a win, Eliza White made one.
Rilee Barnett is Ottawa's goals leader with 48 goals. KaiAnna Senne is the assists leader with 24. Brianna Valadao is the groundballs leader with 57. Barnett is the draw controls leader with 65.
(8) Missouri Baptist is 12-5 on the season and 7-1 in conference play.
The Spartans received a bye in the Heart Tournament quarterfinals, and beat Ottawa by a score of 25-16 in their last game on April 9.
Lydia Cornett is Missouri Baptist's goals, assists, and groundballs leader with 62, 56, and 55 respectively. Cornett's 118 points ranks third in the NAIA, and her 56 assists rank first.
Ottawa and UHSP have met four times, Ottawa has won all four.
Ottawa and Missouri Baptist have met ten times, and Missouri Baptist leads the series 8-2. The Spartans have also won each of the last seven games, including both meetings last season by score of 15-8 in the regular season and 18-6 in the KCAC Tournament Championship.
The two teams met in the regular season on April 9, a 25-16 home victory for Missouri Baptist. In that game, Rilee Barnett led Ottawa with six goals, Ashlyn Lopez scored four. The winner of this game will advance to the Heart Tournament Championship game on April 19 against the winner of (2) Benedictine and St. Ambrose.
