LINDSBORG, Kan. – The Ottawa University women's tennis team has moved on to the KCAC Tournament semifinals with a 4-2 victory over the University of Saint Mary on Thursday afternoon.
Paula Persson and
Valeria Rodriguez won their no. 1 doubles match over Tracy Llamas and Rowen Wiemers.
Camryn Medina and
Alejandra Parra took a 6-2 victory in no. 2 doubles against Shannon Finn and Arsys Rojas.
Rodriguez won her no. 1 singles match 6-2, 6-0 over Finn. Parra, playing no. 3 singles, earned a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Monserrat Chapula. Medina defeated Wiemers 6-4, 6-0 in no. 4 singles.
Ottawa (12-11) returns to the court on Friday, April 25 in Lindsborg against the no. 1 seed, McPherson College. The match is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
