Men's Lacrosse Set for Wednesday Tilt at Columbia

Ottawa, KAN. - The Ottawa men's lacrosse team is searching for their first win of the season as they travel to Columbia for a conference game.
  • The Braves are 0-8 overall and 0-6 in HAAC play.
  • The Braves are coming off a 6-16 loss at Clarke on Saturday. Braydon Francis led Ottawa with three goals, Mark Spells scored two, and Tucker Yeley scored one for his first goal as a Brave. Spells and Ashton Buckalew made one assist each, the latter being his first collegiate point. Dylan Murano made nine saves in goal.
  • Braydon Francis is Ottawa's goals leader with nine. Mark Spells is the Braves' assists and groundballs leader with two and 46.
  • Columbia is 4-6 on the season and 4-2 in conference play. The Cougars are coming off a 6-29 loss to (10) William Penn last Friday.
  • Brock Pleis is Columbia's goals leader with 31, Nico Andrews leads the Cougars in assists with 22. Kail Mattis leads in groundballs with 51.
  • Ottawa and Columbia have met nine times, with Ottawa leading the series five games to four. The two teams played twice last year: Columbia won the regular season bout in Columbia by a score of 7-6, while Ottawa took the KCAC Tournament Championship in St. Louis by a score of 12-10.
