OTTAWA, Kan. - The Ottawa women's lacrosse team is searching for their first win of the season as they host (1) Benedictine.

• The Braves are coming off a 4-20 loss at NCAA Division II William Jewell on Wednesday.
• In that game, Rilee Barnett, Ashlyn Lopez, Brianna Valadao, and KaiAnna Senne scored one goal each, Rilee Barnett and KaiAnna Senne both made one assist. Saniya Watt made eight saves in her goalkeeping debut.
• Benedictine is 1-0 on the season.
• The Ravens are coming off a 16-15 win at NCAA Division II Quincy on Sunday. 
• Benedictine is coming off a 21-0 overall record and 7-0 conference record in 2025, which included Heart regular season and Heart Tournament championships as well as an NAIA National Championship.
• Benedictine's tandem of Chanterra Allen and Kaylen Moore put up 166 and 159 points, respectively in 2025, which ranked first and second in the NAIA and third and fifth across all women's lacrosse divisions.
• Moore is the Raven's leading scorer, scoring six goals in Benedictine's season opener. Lorelei Seigel has scored five. Alexa Hildenbrand leads Benedictine in assists with two. Molly Owen is Benedictine's only appearing goalkeeper, currently sitting at a .400 save percentage.
• This will be the 18th meeting between Ottawa and Benedictine, Benedictine leads the series 16-1. The two teams met twice last season: Benedictine won both, 26-1 in Atchison and 26-4 in Ottawa.
• Ottawa's lone win in the series came in 2017, a 10-9 victory in the KCAC Tournament Championship game in Leavenworth. Benedictine has won thirteen straight.
• The two teams will meet again on March 14 in Atchison for a conference game.
• Ottawa is 4-6 in home openers, and is searching for their first home opener win in the Kyle Beard era.
• Ottawa is 0-3 all-time against number-one ranked opponents. The Braves are searching for their first win over a top-five opponent, they are 0-15 in such opportunities.
