MARSHALL, Texas - The Ottawa University beach volleyball team fell 5-0 to Oklahoma Wesleyan University and East Texas Baptist University, 4-1 on Saturday afternoon at the ETBU Beach Classic.

Match No. 1 – Oklahoma Wesleyan 5, Ottawa 0
In no. 1 pairs, Jordan Isbell and Sydney Collins set the tone with a 21-15, 21-16 victory over Bailee Nickel and Madison Brauner. Maddy McKinney and Avery Forman earned a 21-19, 21-13 win against OU's Janessa Ross and Makela Martinez in no. 2 pairs.

Samantha Young and Madison Holcomb fell to Clara Warren and Kaytlin Soward 21-11, 21-13 in no. 3 pairs. Brittan Lee and Brenna Diller fell short in a three set match 21-16, 18-21, 9-15 to Emma Stubbs and Valeria Perez in no. 4 pairs.

Alexia Maynes and Jezebel Hobbs lost 21-16, 21-16 to Gracie Layton and Anneliese Schonauer in no. 5 pairs.

At No. 1, Cecilia Jalufka and Paige Dickson edged Carson Schuman and Bailee Nickel in a tightly contested three-set match, 21-18, 15-21, 17-15. Bella Fields and Boston Morin followed with a 21-16, 23-21 victory over Madison Brauner and Makela Martinez at No. 2.

Caiden Lasala and Katelynn Holloway earned a 21-15, 21-8 win at No. 3 against Janessa Ross and Samantha Young, while Emily Thomas and Caitlyn Ellenburg secured the clinching point at No. 4 with a 21-17, 21-6 decision over Madison Holcomb and Brittan Lee.

Ottawa's lone victory came at No. 5, where Brenna Diller and Olivia Lewis defeated Brenna Pope and Savanah Sutton 21-15, 21-18.
