OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University baseball turned in a dominant day at Alumni Park on Saturday, shutting out Missouri Valley College in game one before backing it up with an offensive outburst in game two to complete the doubleheader sweep.
Game One: Ottawa 11, Missouri Valley 0
Ottawa set the tone early and never looked back in the opener, scoring in four different innings and riding a stellar pitching performance to a seven-inning shutout.
The Braves jumped out in front in the first inning and continued to apply pressure throughout, capitalizing on timely hits, aggressive base running, and Missouri Valley miscues. Ottawa's pitching staff limited the Vikings to just three hits while striking out eight to preserve the shutout.
Game One Notes

Ottawa's offense exploded early, plating seven runs in the first inning and never allowing Missouri Valley to get back into the game.
The Braves added runs in five different innings and finished with 14 runs on 11 hits, highlighted by two home runs and aggressive base running throughout the lineup. Ottawa also turned three double plays defensively to help control the game.
