MESQUITE, Texas – The Ottawa University softball continued its hot start to the season with a dominant 14–0, five inning, shutout victory over Huston-Tillotson University on Saturday, powered by an 11-run second inning and a one-hit pitching performance in the circle.
Ottawa wasted no time getting on the board in the first inning, then completely broke the game open in the second by capitalizing on timely hitting and Huston-Tillotson miscues. The Braves finished with 13 hits in the contest and held the Rams to just one hit across five innings.
Cesara Roque was outstanding in the circle, tossing a complete-game shutout while allowing only one hit and striking out two to improve to 4–0 on the season.
