(20) Baseball Explodes for Eight-Run First, Defeats Saint Mary 13–3

LEAVENWORTH, Kan. - The (20) Braves wasted no time taking control on Tuesday morning, erupting for eight runs in the first inning on their way to a dominant 13–3 victory over University of Saint Mary at the USM Baseball Field.

Ottawa's offense was relentless from the opening pitch, collecting 15 hits and drawing five walks while striking out zero times. The Braves put the game out of reach early with an explosive first inning and never looked back.

The Braves plated eight runs on eight hits in the first inning alone. RBI hits from Julius Ryan, Jose Vega, Jeremy Freeman, and Dylan Snead, along with a solo home run from Jesus Rodriguez, quickly gave Ottawa an 8–0 advantage.

Ottawa added two runs in the second, two more in the fifth, and another in the sixth while the pitching staff kept Saint Mary in check for most of the afternoon.

On the mound, Kenneth Johnson earned the win with a strong start, allowing just one run across five innings.
