Softball Has Five Named to the All-KCAC Teams

SALINA, Kan. – The 2026 All-KCAC Softball Teams have been announced, and Ottawa University placed five student-athletes on the all-conference lists, highlighted by a First Team selection and a Gold Glove honoree.

Ottawa enters postseason play with a 31-16 overall record and a 19-7 mark in Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference action, finishing third in the conference standings.

First Team All-KCAC
Abby Bellamy led Ottawa's All-KCAC selections, earning First Team honors after a standout season at the plate. The junior infielder is hitting .395 (64-for-162) with 38 runs scored. Bellamy has tallied 12 doubles, eight triples, and eight home runs while driving in 31 runs. She owns a .716 slugging percentage and a .418 on-base percentage, adding 11 stolen bases in 12 attempts.

Second Team All-KCAC
Ottawa placed three student-athletes on the Second Team, showcasing the depth of the Braves' lineup and pitching staff.

Lanie Becker anchored the pitching staff, posting a 12-7 record with a 2.21 ERA in 27 appearances. She made 22 starts, recorded 13 complete games, and struck out 35 batters in 133.1 innings, holding opponents to a .265 batting average.

Cece Mora provided consistent production offensively, batting .333 (45-for-135) with 32 runs scored. She recorded 14 doubles, three triples, and one home run, driving in 22 runs while posting a .504 slugging percentage. Mora was also a perfect 9-for-9 in stolen base attempts.

Emma Melvin paced Ottawa at the plate, leading the team with a .444 batting average (59-for-133). The senior designated player has totaled 14 doubles and two home runs while driving in 31 runs. She carries a .594 slugging percentage and a .510 on-base percentage, drawing 15 walks on the season.

Gold Glove Selection
Braxton Stainbrook earned KCAC Gold Glove honors at third base, highlighting Ottawa's defensive strength. The senior recorded 84 putouts and 59 assists with a .960 fielding percentage across 149 chances while splitting time between catcher and third base.
