Ottawa Earns Number Two Spot In KCAC Men's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll

KANSAS - Following a postseason run that included an NAIA Men's Soccer Championship Opening Round upset of no. 6 Lindsey Wilson College, Ottawa was ranked no. 2 in the KCAC Men's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll announced Friday by the conference office. The Braves earned 143 total points with one first-place vote in balloting among the league's head coaches, with 13 of the 14 schools participating.

OU finished No. 2 in the regular-season standings in 2025 and advanced to the KCAC Men's Soccer Championship tournament final before falling to Oklahoma Wesleyan University. Ottawa joined the Eagles in advancing to the NAIA Men's Soccer Championship, although both teams fell in the round of 16.

Oklahoma Wesleyan earned the no. 1 spot in the 2026 poll, tallying 156 total points and 12 first-place votes after earning its seventh consecutive KCAC regular-season title and sixth consecutive KCAC Men's Soccer Championship Tournament title.

Rounding out the top five of the KCAC Men's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll were York University at no. 3 (119 total points), Kansas Wesleyan University at no. 4 (114 total points), and Southwestern College at no. 5 (106 total points).
