2012: Mays played and started in 15 games for OU. She was part of a defense that was ranked 17^th in the NAIA in shutouts per game (0.4) and 19^th in total shutouts (9).

2011: Mays played in 19 games, making 18 starts in her sophomore season. Because of her play in the pitch she was named, for the second straight season, First Team All-KCAC as a defender. Mays earned her first career assist versus Southwestern College (10/19).
 
2010: In her freshman season, Mays played in 19 games with 16 starts on her way to earning First Team All-KCAC honors. She was part of a defense that was ranked eighth in total shutouts (10) and 11th in shutouts per game (0.5).
 
High School: Mays earned two letters in soccer and three letters in volleyball for Olathe South High School. She was voted by her teammates as the Most Improved Player her junior season. During her sophomore season, Mays was junior varsity captain and voted Best JV Defender. Mays played club soccer for the Blue Valley Stars Barcelona and was coached by Nacole Neuendorf. She helped her team to the KCI Tournament finals, the MAG Tournament semifinals and to the Tulsa Thunder Friendship Cup Championship. Mays helped her volleyball team go to state in 2009 and 2007, finishing third in 2007.
