Biography

2014-15: Strader played in all 29 games for the Braves as a sophomore. She averaged 1.4 points and 0.7 rebounds per game. Strader shot 34.1 percent from the floor, 30.3 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 33.3 percent from the free throw line. She scored a career high six points against Southwestern College (12/11) and had career highs in rebounds (5), assists (5), and steals (2) versus Benedictine College (11/15).

2013-14: In her first collegiate season, Strader appeared in 18 games; averaging 0.9 points, 0.5 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game. She shot 23.8 percent from the floor, 23.1 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 50 percent from the free throw line. Strader appeared in her first collegiate game and scored her first career points against College of the Ozarks (11/1). She scored a season high four points versus College of the Ozarks (11/1), had a season high two rounds three times with the last being against Bethany College (2/1), had a season high four assists versus St. Ambrose University (11/8), and had a career high two steals against AIB (11/9).

High School: Strader was a four year letter winner in track and cross country for Holton High School. She earned three letters in basketball for the Wildcats. Strader was a member of the 2011 Kansas State Basketball Championship Team, a member of the 2012 Kansas State Basketball Runner-up team, and was a member of the 2011 Kansas State 4x800M Relay Championship team. As a senior on the basketball court, Strader averaged 7.9 points, 2.7 steals, and 3.1 assists per game. She led the team with 72 assists for the season. Strader earned Honorable Mention All-Big 7 League in 2012, was named First Team All-Big 7 League in 2013, earned Basehor-Linwood Invitational All-Tournament team honors in 2013, was named 2013 KBCA Academic All-State, was twice named a KNZA "Player to Bank On", twice earned the Holton Records' 2013 Basketball "Athlete of the Week" award, and was selected to play in the North East Kansas All-Star Game and the North Central Kansas All-Star Game. In her three years on varsity, she helped the Wildcats to a record of 76-3. On the track, Strader was the 2013 Kansas 4A State Champion in the 800M (2:21.67) and placed fourth in the 400M (59.37). She was a four-time state qualifier in cross country and earned all-league honors four times. Strader excelled in the classroom as well. She finished her high school academic career with a 4.0 GPA, was a KU Honors Student, and was named to the National Honor Society.
