2014-15: In his first collegiate tournament, James finished third and shot a 69 in round one and an 80 in round two at the Ottawa Fall Invitational. He helped the Braves to a second place finish at the Warrior Invitational, finishing 13^th with a 74 in round one and a 75 in round two. James was part of the Brave team championship team at the Park University Fall Classic. He finished tied for 13^th with a two round total of 164 (84, 80). James tied for 17^th at the Ashford Invitational, shooting a 79 in round one and a 76 in round two. He tied for 39^th at the Ottawa Spring Invitational, with a two round total of 164 (83, 81). James tied for 28^th at the KCAC Men’s Regular Season Meet. He shot a 77 in round one, a 75 in round two, and an 87 in round three. James finished tied for 17^th at the Bethel Spring Invitational, shooting a 75 in round one and a 78 in round two. He tied for 31^st at the Evangel Spring Invite with a two round total of 167 (84, 83). James tied for 31^st at the Virginia McCoy Intercollegiate with a two round total of 162, shooting a 79 in round one and an 83 in round two. He finished 22^nd at the KCAC Conference Championships with a 79 in round one, a 76 in round two, and a 79 in round three.

High School: James earned four letters in golf for Killeen High School. In his last eight tournaments he has finished in the top 10.
