2014-15: At his first collegiate tournament, Walter finished tied for 15^th at the Ottawa Fall Invitational with a two round score of 160 (79, 81). He helped the Braves to a second place finish at the Warrior Invitational, finishing with an 81 in round one and a 77 in round two to tie for 36^th. Walter had his best finish as a Brave, tying for second at the Park University Fall Classic with a two round total of 149 (77, 72). He tied for 45^th at the Ottawa Spring Invitational, shooting an 84 in both rounds of the competition. Walter tied for 30^th at the KCAC Men’s Regular Season Meet with an 84 in round one, a 78 in round two and an 80 in round three. He tied for 59^th at the Bethel Spring Invitational with an 84 in round one and an 80 in round two for a 164. Walter tied for 22^nd with a two round total of 163, shooting an 81 in round one and an 82 in round two at the Evangel Spring Invite. He tied for 28^th at the Virginia McCoy Intercollegiate with a two round total of 161, shooting a 76 in round one and an 85 in round two. Walter tied for 14^th with a two round total of 228 at the KCAC Conference Championship. He shot an 80 in round one, a 73 in round two, and a 75 in round three.

High School: Walter earned four letters in golf and three in basketball for Anderson County High School. He is a four-time Kansas 4A State Golf Tournament participant, finishing sixth as a freshman. Walter is a two-time Pioneer League Champion and earned as Region Championship in 2011. On the basketball court, he helped lead the Bulldogs to the Kansas 4A State Boys Basketball Tournament in 2012-2013.
