Entering her senior season, Markham has put her named in the OU career record book. She is ranked 12th in slugging percentage (.451), fourth in career wins (30), sixth in complete games (32), fourth in innings pitched (288.1), fourth in ERA (2.96), second in strikeouts (246), fourth in appearances (59), and seventh in starts (47).
2015: Markham played in 22 games and made 20 starts on the pitcher’s mound on her way to earning First Team All-KCAC and Co-KCAC Pitcher of the Year. She finished the year with a record of 12-8, a 3.25 ERA, 15 complete games, four shutouts, pitched in 116.1 innings, struck out 88, and opponents had a .258 batting average against her. At the plate, Markham had 21 hits in 66 at bats for a .318 batting average. She scored five runs, hit two doubles and one homerun. Markham drove in 12, had a slugging percentage of .394, walked three times, had an on base percentage of .348, and went 1-for-1 in stolen base attempts. She had seven multi-hit games with a career high four hits against Southwestern College (3/28). Markham had a season high 10 strikeouts versus Sterling College (4/4). She is tied for eighth in the OU single season record book in pitching wins (12), 10th in innings pitched (116.1), tied for sixth in games started (20), ninth in complete games (15), and fourth in strikeouts (88).
2014: Markham earned First Team All-KCAC honors in her sophomore season, finishing with a record of 17-9 with 17 complete games and two shutouts. She earned KCAC Pitcher of the Week honors twice. Markham pitched in 156.2 innings, striking out a team and KCAC high 148 batters. She finished with a 2.73 ERA and opponents had a .250 batting average against her. Markham picked up her first victory of the season against Washburn University (2/26), earned her first complete game versus Benedictine College (2/22), and had a career high 12 strikeouts against McPherson College (5/1). She also excelled at the plate. She finished with 31 hits in 93 at bats for a .333 batting average. Markham scored 17 runs, hit two doubles, had three homeruns, drove in 17 runs, had a slugging percentage of .495, walked three times, and had an on base percentage of .347. She had a season high three hits twice with the last being against Southwestern College (4/19), hit her first career homerun against Mount Mercy College (3/7), and drove in a career high three RBI against the University of Saint Mary (4/4). Markham finished the season ranked 40th in the NAIA in batters struck out (148), 49th in wins (17), and 49th in batters struck out per game (6.61).
2013: Markham appeared in seven games, making one start in her freshman season on the pitcher’s mound. She finished the year with a 1-1 record and a 3.20 ERA. In 15.1 innings pitched, Markham struck out 10 and hitters had a .186 batting average against her.
High School: Markham earned one letter in softball for Lee’s Summit North High School. She earned All-Conference honors as a utility player.
