2015: Harris played and started in 45 games in her second season. She had 42 hits in 143 at bats for a .294 batting average. Harris scored 22 runs, hit 10 doubles, drove in 22, had a slugging percentage of .364, walked seven times, had an on base percentage of .325, had one sacrifice fly and one sacrifice bunt, and she was 6-for-7 in stolen base attempts. She had 11 multi-hit games, tying her career high of three four times with the last being against Bethany College (4/15).
2014: Harris appeared and started in all 50 games at shortstop as a freshman. She had 37 hits in 142 at bats for a .261 batting average. Harris scored 22 runs, hit two doubles, drove in 10 runs, had a slugging percentage of .310, walked five times, was hit by a pitch once, had an on base percentage of .296, she hit two sacrifice flies, had two sacrifice bunts, and went 5-for-5 in stolen base attempts. Harris recorded her first hit against Evangel University (2/15) and hit her first double versus Bellevue University (3/19). She had a career high three hits against Sterling College (3/25) and a career high two RBIs against Kansas Wesleyan University (4/8).
High School: Harris earned three letters in volleyball, two in basketball, and four in softball for Paola High School. She helped lead the Panthers to three Kansas Softball 4A State Tournaments, earning all-league and tri-county honors three times. Harris is also a two-time all-state selection. She played travel softball with the KC Peppers and from 2003 to 2010 played with the KC Xplosion.
Personal: Daughter of Chuck and Tammy Harris … born May 24, 1995 … elementary education major. She was the high school teammate of current Brave Molli Morgan.
