Jefferson College: As a sophomore, Fortner played in 30 matches. She finished the year with 306 kills, a .243 attacking percentage, 15 assists, 38 service aces, 343 digs, and 30 blocks. Fortner averaged 2.94 kills per set. Fortner had 15 matches with double digit kills, tallying a career high 20 against Mineral Area.
Benedictine College: In her freshman season at BC, Fortner played in 15 matches. She tallied 87 kills, 5 assists, 14 service aces, 98 digs, and 12 blocks. Fortner finished the season with four double digit matches. She had a season high 14 kills against Stephens College (8/22).
High School: Fortner lettered in volleyball, softball, soccer, and basketball at Northwest High School. She played club volleyball for H2 St. Louis under head coach Taylor Moon.
