Ottawa University

2017: Wheeler was named to the 2017 KCAC Preseason Football Team. He earned Honorable Mention All-KCAC honors. Wheeler had eight receptions for 99 yards and two touchdowns. He averaged 12.4 yards per reception. Wheeler excelled in the classroom as well. He was named to the 2017 CoSIDA Academic All-America® College Division football team and to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 3 College Division First Team.

2016: Wheeler moved to tight end his sophomore season at OU, earning Honorable Mention All-KCAC honors. He finished the season with 10 receptions for 109 yards, an average of 10.9 yards per catch. He had one receiving touchdown and averaged 21.8 receiving yards per game.

Highland Community College: Wheeler played defensive end for the Scotties, appearing in nine games and finishing with four tackles and two sacks.

High School: Wheeler attended Holton High School where he was a four year letterman in football, basketball and band. He also earned letters in baseball and track for the Wildcats. Wheeler helped HHS to the 2012 Kansas 4A State Football Championship.

Personal: He is the son of Matt Wheeler and plans on majoring in engineering.
