2018-19: Shaffer appeared in 12 games and made one start as a junior. She averaged 0.6 points and one rebound per game. Shaffer shot 10.5 percent from the floor, 11.1 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 33.3 percent from the free throw line. She scored a career high four points and three rebounds against Park University.

2017-18: As a sophomore, Shaffer played in four games at the varsity level.

2016-17: Shaffer split time between varsity and junior varsity in her freshman season. She played in two varsity contests.

High School: Shaffer was a four year letterman on the basketball court for West Franklin High School. She also earned four letters in volleyball and cheerleading for the Falcons. Shaffer helped lead the Falcons to the 2015-16 Kansas 3A State Basketball Tournament. She was selected to play in the 2016 Flint Hill League All-Star Game. Shaffer was a two-time All-Area selection by the Ottawa Herald. She also was an All-Area selection by the Ottawa Herald on the volleyball court and was an Honorable Mention All-Flint Hills League selection in 2015. Shaffer averaged 6.4 points, 1.6 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.

Personal: Daughter of Marvin and Kim Shaffer … human services major. Her sister Samantha Mendez was a member of the OU women’s basketball and softball teams.
