Des Moines Area Community College: Pickering earned two letters in softball at Des Moines Area Community College. She was a 2019 NJCAA All-American, was named to the 2019 NJCAA National Tournament All-Tournament Team, and was an All-Region and All-District selection. Through eight games of her sophomore season, Pickering had a .500 batting average with six RBI, 12 runs scored, two stolen bases, and three homeruns. As a freshman, she played in 58 games and finished with a .396 batting average. Pickering scored 49 runs, hit 15 doubles, three triples, one homerun, drove in 55 runs, walked 17 times, had 10 stolen bases, a .455 on base percentage, and a .538 slugging percentage.
High School: At Winterset High School, Pickering lettered in softball, cross country, and track. She helped the Huskies to the 2015 and 2017 Iowa State Softball Tournament, winning the championship in 2017. Pickering participated in the Iowa State Track and Field Championships in the Distance Medley. She also participated in the Iowa State Cross Country Championships and the Iowa Trapshooting Championships.
Personal: Daughter of Andy and Nicky Pickering ... biology major. She played travel ball for the Renegades under head coaches Kelly Blackford and Tom Owen.
