Entering his senior season, Norrell has played in 50 games and made 22 starts. He has pitched five complete games, has a record of 13-13, pitched in 207 innings, has 12 saves, a 3.70 ERA, and 256 strike outs. Norrell is ranked fifth in the OU record book in appearances (51), third in ERA (3.70), tied for eighth in victories (13), fifth in innings pitched (207), first in strike outs (256), tied for first in saves (12), and is second in the OU record book in single game strike outs with 15 against Tabor College on May 5, 2021.
2021: In his second junior season due to CoVID-19, Norrell was named to the 2021 KCAC Preseason Baseball Team, earned KCAC Pitcher of the Week honors once, and was a Second Team All-KCAC selection. He played in 15 games and made 14 starts. Norrell had a 4.07 ERA, three complete games, one shut out, pitched in 97.1 innings, struck out 125, and opponents hit .231 against Norrell. He broke the school record for strike outs in a single season (125). Norrell was ranked sixth in the NAIA in total innings pitched (97.1), and 13th in innings pitched per game (6.4). He pitched a career high nine innings twice in 2021 with the last being against Tabor College. He also had a career high 15 strike outs against Tabor in the KCAC Tournament.
2020: As a junior, Norrell appeared in nine games and made three starts. He finished the year with one save and a record of 3-3. In 32.1 innings pitched, Norrell struck out 42, had a 3.06 ERA, and opponents had a .236 batting average.
2019: Norrell appeared in 26 games, making five starts for the Braves. He earned Honorable Mention All-KCAC. Norrell had a record of 3-7 with a school record 11 saves. In 77.1 innings pitched, he struck out 89 and opponents had a .214 batting average against him. Norrell finished the season with a 3.49 ERA. He set the OU single season appearance record with 26. Norrell was ranked second in the NAIA in saves (11), 42nd in hits allowed per nine innings (6.7), and 48th in opponent batting average (.214).
McMurry College: As a freshman at MC, Norrell appeared in 11 games. In 44.2 innings pitched, he had a 7.25 ERA, struck out 32, and had a record of 0-4.
