Indoor 2020: Sprague earned All-KCAC honors in the shot put with a fourth place finish at the KCAC Indoor Track and Field Championships with a mark of 14.63M. He had a season’s best throw of 14.89M at the Northwest Open in the shot put. Sprague broke the school record in the weight throw at the KCAC Championships, earning fourth place to earn All-KCAC honors with a throw of 15.60M.
Outdoor 2019: Sprague qualified for the 2019 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships in the discus. He finished the meet with a throw of 43.33M. Sprague had a season’s best toss of 14.66M in the shot put at the Zach Kindler Open. He earned All-KCAC honors in the shot put with a mark of 14.04M at the KCAC Championships. Sprague had a throw of 49.47M in the discus at the Kansas Relays. He had a season’s best throw of 38.93M in the hammer throw at the OU Invitational. Sprague was named a Daktronic Scholar Athlete.
Indoor 2019: Sprague had a throw of 44-06.00 in the weight throw at the Crimson & Gold Invitational. He earned All-KCAC honors in the shot put with a throw of 48-04.00 at the KCAC Indoor Championships.
Outdoor 2018: Sprague had a personal best throw of 14.64M in the shot put at the Zach Kindler Wildcat Open. He earned All-KCAC honors in the discus with a throw of 41.71M at the KCAC Championships. Sprague has a personal best mark of 46.37M in the discus. He had a throw of 28.27M in the hammer at the KCAC Championships.
High School: Sprague earned letters in wrestling and track for Gardner-Edgerton High School. In wrestling, he earned a sixth place finish at the 2016 Kansas State Wrestling Championships and was selected to the Metro Classic Battle of the Border. As a member of the Trailblazer track and field team, Sprague is the GEHS school record holder in the discus and earned seventh place in the discus at the Kansas State Track and Field Championships in 2014. In the classroom, he is a GEHS Academic Hall of Famer, earned the District Student of Character award in 2012, and was named the 2016 Male Athlete of the Year.
