2023: Hemphill was named AFCA NAIA First Team All-American, earned First Team All-KCAC honors and was named KCAC Defensive Player of the Week once as a junior. He finished the season with 136 tackles (56 solo/80 assisted), 8.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, three pass break ups, and one recovered fumble. Hemphill had a career high 18 tackles against Kansas Wesleyan University. He finished the season ranked 13th in the NAIA in solo tackles (56), third in assisted tackles (80), second in total tackles (136), and third in tackles per game (11.3).
2022: As a sophomore, Hemphill was selected Second Team All-KCAC. He earned KCAC Defensive Player of the Week honors once. Hemphill led the Braves in tackles with 120 (51/69). He had nine tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, four pass break ups, two recovered fumbles, and one forced fumble. He had a season high 17 twice this season with the last time being against Friends University.
2021: In his first collegiate season, Hemphill finished the season with 37 tackles (17 solo, 20 assisted), 4.5 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, and two recovered fumbles.
High School: Hemphill earned eight athletic letters at Strasburg High School. He helped the Indians to a 2017 Colorado State Football Championship in 2017, played in the CHSCA All-State Game in 2021, and was a 2019 and 2021 Colorado State Track and Field participant. Hemphill was a Colorado All-State selection in football in 2018, 2019, and 2020. He was twice named Northern Conference Defensive player of the year (2019, 2020).
