2022-23: In his first collegiate contest, Martinez placed 56^th at the Ottawa Fall Invitational with a score of 190 (92-98). He shot a 97 in round one and a 92 in round two at the Tabor College Fall Invitational to finish 46^th. Martinez finished with a three round score of 301 (97-98-106) at the 4-HIM Classic to finish 38^th. He shot a 174 (89-85) at the Ottawa Spring Invitational to finish 70^th. Martinez placed 80^th at the Prairie Dunes Collegiate with a score of 167 (83-84). Placed 55^th at the Bethany College Classic. Had a four round score of 352 (89-89-88-86) at the KCAC Championships.

High School: Martinez lettered in two different sports at Ottawa, he earned two letters for the Ottawa Cyclones golf team and one for the wrestling team.
