High School: Smith earned letters in baseball, basketball and spirit club at Shawnee Heights High School. He helped SHHS to the 2022 Kansas State Tournament. Smith was a 2023 Second Team All-League selection and earned Second Team All-County honors. In 2022 he was a Second Team All-League selection and was a named Second Team All-County.

Personal: Son of Kristan Smith and Eric Smith ... elementary education major. Smith played travel ball for the Topeka Stogies under coach Jason Brown.
