2014: Tanking played in 125 sets and 35 matches on her way to earning Second Team All-KCAC honors. She had 358 kills, 34 assists, 41 service aces, 430 digs, and 47 blocks. Tanking earned KCAC Player and Hitter of the Week once. She had a career high 21 digs twice with the last being against College of Saint Mary (10/3). Tanking had a career high 23 digs twice with the last being against Sterling College (10/29). She had 10 or more kills 20 times, 10 or more digs 22 times, and finished the season with 11 double-doubles.
2013: In her first collegiate season, Tanking appeared in 27 matches and played in 73 sets. She finished the season with 17 kills, 11 assists, one service ace, 91 digs, and eight blocks. Tanking recorded her first collegiate kill and assist against Bethel College (9/18). She had a season high 16 digs against Friends University (11/2) and earned her first service ace against Avila University (9/3). Tanking had a season high two kills five times with the last against Southwestern College (10/26).
High School: Tanking earned three letters in volleyball, two in basketball, and four in track for Holton High School. On the volleyball court, she helped lead the Wildcats to a fourth place finish at the Kansas 4A State Volleyball Tournament in 2011. Tanking earned All-Big 7 Honorable Mention and All-Jackson County Honorable Mention honors in 2011. In 2012, she was a First Team All-Big 7 selection and earned First Team All-Jackson County honors. Tanking was also named Northeast Kansas Player of the Week. On the basketball court, she helped HHS to a Kansas 4A State Championship in 2011-12 and on the track she placed 10th in the high jump at the Kansas Track and Field State Championships in 2012.
Personal: Daughter of Kenny and Louise Tanking ... born November 17, 1994 ... psychology and human services major. She was the high school teammate of current Lady Braves Christa Hill. Tanking is the daughter of Kenny and Louise Tanking and plans to major in psychology and human services. Her family has a history of attending Ottawa University. Her brother Mike Tanking played basketball and was an All-KCAC high jumper, her sister Erin Tanking-Scott was a member of the volleyball team, her sister-in-law Corrin Ball-Tanking was an all-conference performer on the softball field and a national qualifier in cross country, and her brother-in-law Devin Scott was a member of the cross country team.
