High School: During his time at Downey High School, he was a 4x wrestling letterman with three of those on the varsity team, 2016-17 and 18 San Gabriel Valley League Champion, the 2017 CIF – Northern Division Champion and a 4x CTF Finalist with a record of 2-2, 2x CTF Scholar-Athlete, 2019-20 team captain and 2x All-League. Gonzalez career record at Downey High School is 66-24 with a dual record of 16-5.
