Ottawa University

2014-15: Hinton finished his junior season at OU with an overall record of 23-11 and a dual record of 8-2 with 17 victories by fall. He became the OU men’s wrestling program’s first NAIA All-American with his eighth place finish at the 2015 NAIA Men’s Wrestling National Championships in the 141 pound weight class. Hinton competed in the 141and 149 pound weight class for OU. He earned his first victory in the 149 pound weight class with a major decision, 13-4, over Jason Cain from Lyon College. Hinton earned his first victory in the 141 pound weight class with a win in a dual with Lindenwood-Belleville.

Northwest Kansas Technical College: Hinton earned two letters in wrestling at NKTC. He was a NJCAA National qualifier and earned Academic honors.

High School: Hinton was a three year letterman in wrestling for Carver Vo-Tech High School. He won the Maryland State Championship in double overtime with the take down.
