The Braves lost both of its games in Nebraska last weekend at the Hastings Classic. Ottawa fell just short to Midland University, 71-70, last Friday and lost 72-53 to Hastings College last Saturday.
Through three games, OU is shooting 48.6 percent from the floor, 35.2 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 76.2 percent from the free throw line. The Braves are averaging 77 points, 48 rebounds, and 16 assists per game.
OU is ranked 29th in the NAIA in field goals made per game (30), 18th in field goal percentage (.486), 30th in free throw percentage (.762), sixth in defensive rebounds per game (35.3), 28th in total rebounds per game (48), 34th in rebound margin per game (11.7), 48th in blocks per game (3.3), and 23rd in opponents field goal percentage (.303).
Nicole Brown leads the Braves in scoring (16) and rebounding (13.7).

Tuesday is the 22nd meeting between Ottawa University and Haskell Indian Nations University. Ottawa leads the series, 11-10, and is 2-3 in its last five game against Haskell. OU won the game last season on Oct. 28, 2021, 87-79 in Wilson Field House. The first meeting between the two teams happened in 1919 with Haskell winning the game 28-14.
In the win over Haskell last year, Ottawa shot 42.9 percent from the floor, 12.5 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 64.5 percent from the free throw line. OU had four players in double figures. Haley Franklin led OU with 23 points. Liz Vaughn finished with 20, Kennedy Bankett scored 13 points, and
Amyr Lowe finished the game with 12 points. Ottawa had a 34-18 lead in points off turnovers, a 56-42 advantage in points in the paint, and the OU bench outscored HINU, 49-15. Haskell led 25-22 in fast break points and had a 10-9 edge in second chance points.
Haskell Indian Nations University has opened the season 2-4 and enters Tuesday's game coming off an 80-74 road loss to Peru State College on Monday night.
The Indians trailed the Bobcats 65-39 at the start of the fourth quarter. HINU outscored Peru State 35-15 in the fourth to try to rally but the Indians were not able to complete the comeback.
HINU shot 50 percent from the floor, 37.5 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 62.5 percent from the free throw line. Haskell had 31 turnovers to PSC's 20. Jaelyn Two Hearts led the team with 21 points. Marilyn Goodman came off the bench to score 17 points and Grace Tahahwah finished the game with 12 points.
Through six games, Haskell is shooting 39.2 percent from the floor, 28.6 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 64.6 percent from the free throw line. HINU is averaging 66.5 points, 31 rebounds, and 12.7 assists per game.
Jaelyn Two Hearts leads the team in scoring, averaging 14.5 points per game. Marilyn Goodman is right behind her, averaging 14.2 points, and Grace Tahahwah is scoring 11.8 points per game. Two Hearts also leads the team in rebounds (7.8) per game. Tahahwah is the team's leader in assists (2.5) per game, and Mahpiya Irving is HINU's leader in assists (2.7) per game.
Haskell is ranked first in the NAIA in total points (399) and 28th in steals per game (13.5).
