DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Ottawa University cheer team finished fourth at the NCA National Championships on Friday morning. The Braves competed in the NAIA Advanced Small Coed Division.
The Braves finished finals with an event score of 82.5509. OU improved on its performance score of 81.4815 from prelims.
"I am beyond proud of the cheer team for their hard work and determination," said OU head cheer & STUNT coach
Jennifer Newman. "They pulled together as a team and performed their absolute best!! It was so exciting to watch them shine!!"
Ottawa's fourth place finish is the fourth time in program history that OU has finished in the top five.
