The Braves are 20-9-1 overall and in second place in the KCAC with a record of 10-2. Ottawa split is double header with Oklahoma Wesleyan University on Wednesday at the OKWU Softball Complex in Bartlesville, Okla. The Eagles won game one, 4-3, but the Braves bounced back to take game two, 3-2.

In the double header with OKWU, the Braves hit .216, scored six runs, had 11 hits, two doubles, one home run, had a .314 slugging percentage, walked seven times, was hit by a pitch once, had a .317 on base percentage, struck out 17 times, and had one stolen base. The OU pitching staff had a 2.69 ERA, striking out seven in 13 innings. OKWU had a .216 batting average in the double header.

Through 30 games, Ottawa has scored 182 runs and hit 25 home runs. The Braves have a .301 batting average, a .381 on base percentage, and a .427 slugging percentage.

OU has a record of 39-12 against the University of Saint Mary. Ottawa has won 12 straight games against the Spires. The Braves last loss to USM was on March 24, 2015 at Alumni Park. OU fell to USM 18-10 in six innings. This will be the first double header for the Braves in Leavenworth since April 4, 2014. The Braves took both games of the double header in five innings, 14-4 and 14-1. The first meeting between Ottawa and Saint Mary was on March 5, 1996. Ottawa won the game 11-3. OU took both games of the double header last season at Alumni Park on April 10. Ottawa won game one 7-3 and game two, 9-6.

The University of Saint Mary is 16-16 overall and is tied for third place in the KCAC with a record of 9-5. USM is 8-11 at home this season and enters Saturday's game coming off a 4-2 win over Friends University on Wednesday in Wichita.

Through 32 games, USM has scored 139 runs and hit 17 home runs. The Spires have a .283 batting average, a .336 on base percentage, and a .420 slugging percentage.

USM is ranked 39th in the NAIA in home runs (17), 36th in sacrifice flies (9), and 36th in shutouts (6).

Sadie McWiliams leads the Spires in batting average (.376) and RBI (20). Shelby Mohler leads USM in ERA (2.65) and Maria Howard is the team's leader in strike outs (78).
