CHICKASHA, Okla. – The Ottawa University softball team fell 3-0 to no. 20 College of Idaho in its first game of the NAIA Opening Round – USAO Bracket on Monday afternoon at Bill Smith Ballpark.

The Coyotes took the early lead in the bottom of the first inning, 1-0. College of Idaho increased its lead over the Braves with a run in the bottom of the third inning. The Yotes put an insurance run on the board in the bottom of the sixth to take a 3-0 lead. In the top of the seventh, Kelcie Kippes reached first on a walk. Ottawa was not able to score her and College of Idaho took the 3-0 victory.
