The Braves finished their Texas trip with a record of 1-4. In its five games, Ottawa hit .255 (41-for-161), scored 28 runs, hit 10 doubles, four triples, two home runs, drove in 65 runs, had a .404 slugging percentage, walked 15 times, was hit by a pitch five times, had a .335 on base percentage, and stole seven bases.

Cole Broughton led the Braves with a .524 batting (11-for-21) average on the trip. He scored five runs, hit three doubles, two home runs, drove in six runs, had a .952 slugging percentage, walked once, and had a .545 on base percentage. Because of his efforts last week, Broughton was named KCAC Player of the Week.

At the plate this season, Ottawa is 34-for-125 with runners on base, 35-for-11 with two outs, and 26-for-82 with runners in scoring position.

Cole Broughton is hitting .583 with runners in scoring position (7-for-12), which leads the Braves. Jonah Weisner is hitting .400 for OU (4-for-10) with runners in scoring position.

Through nine games this season, the Braves have scored 52 runs, have a .284 batting average, a .359 on base percentage,e and a .458 slugging percentage, OU has hit six home runs.

At home this season, Ottawa has a record of 3-1. Ottawa is hitting .325, scoring 24 runs, hitting eight doubles, two triples, and four home runs at Alumni Park this season. The OU pitching staff has a 4.20 ERA with 28 strike outs in 30 innings and opponents are hitting .267 against the Braves.

Cole Broughton leads OU in batting average (.471) and RBI (13). Tyler Bryant leads the team in ERA (2.25) and strike outs (13).

Ottawa leads the series against Northwestern 2-0. The Braves swept the double header 3-2 and 7-6 in Ottawa on February 21, 2022. OU hit .317 in the series, had a .512 slugging percentage, and a .442 on base percentage. Nicholas Sizemore hit .750 (3-for-4), had a .750 slugging percentage, and had a .833 on base percentage. Jonah Weisner also had a good series, hitting .500 (2-for-4), scoring four runs, had three stolen bases, walked three times, and had a .714 on base percentage. Tyler Bryant had a 0.00 ERA, striking out four.

Friday is Northwestern College's season opener. The Red Raiders return seven All-GPAC performers from 2022, including second team DH Mo Watson who ended the season with a .347 batting average and six home runs in GPAC play. Northwestern are 14-15 on opening day under Coach Brian Wede

NWC also returns four starting pitchers from the 2022 season, Brett Shelton, Dylan Kirkeby, Brady Roberts and Drew Dykstra. All-four were Honorable Mention All-GPAC selections last season.
