Ottawa, Kan – The (RV) Ottawa University men's lacrosse team opens the 2023 season at home against Missouri Valley on Thursday at 7 p.m.
The Braves graduated a few pieces from last year's team, including All-American Brandon DeMarco who led the team with 46 goals last season. On the defensive end, Ottawa will have to replace to starters in Travis Alvis and Trenton Barrows.
Joey Ceto returns to the team as a graduate assistant coach after graduating last year.

Vincent DeMarco returns for his sophomore season, second on the team in goals (36) last season and first in assists (28).
Robert Roseberry impressed in OU's opening scrimmages and will cause havoc in front of goal.
Jake Noernberg returns to his midfield role but can be called on the attack as well with 17 goals last season and 24 assists.
Jacob Vincentini also returns, an All-Conference FOGO last season.

Wilson Robbins return as the stalwarts on defense.
The Vikings have already played two games so far, starting off with a 1-1 record following a 19-8 loss to (RV) William Penn and a 12-7 win over Saint Mary. Cole Eyckelhoff leads Missouri Valley with six goals on the season, also leading the team with five assists. Dre McClain follows with five goals and two assists.
The Braves own a 2-4 record against the Vikings, winning the last two meetings following losses in the first four meetings between these teams.
