OTTAWA, Kan.- The Ottawa men's track and field team showcased its talent at the ESU Relays, with standout performances across various events.

School Records
Jaylan Washington placed 5th in the Men's 100 Meters with a time of 10.41, achieving NAIA A and B standards. Washington's time surpasses the school record set by Clarence Anderson in 2012.

Personal Records
Jahkoby Franklin, a sophomore, competed in the 100m and finished with a time of personal record time of 11.56. Washington also competed in the Men's 200 Meters, finishing 21st with a time of 22.26.
Cameron Jackson, a junior, finished in 40th place with a PR time of 22.56, while freshman
Camren Smith finished 59th with a time of 23.15. Franklin finished 65th with a time of 23.27, and junior Santino Gee finished 77th with a time of 23.84.

Kayron Johnson, a junior, had an outstanding performance in the Men's 110 Hurdles, finishing 10th with a PR time of 15.09. He also placed 8th in the Men's 400 Hurdles with another PR time of 55.67.

In the Men's 400 Meters, Smith finished 44th with a PR time of 52.21, while Jackson finished 50th with a time of 53.25. Gee finished closely behind with a time of 53.63, and freshman Bryan Cooper finished 52nd with a time of 54.12.

OU also had a strong showing in the Men's 4 x 400 Relay, with Smith, Jackson, Franklin, and Gee finishing in 13th place with a time of 3:40.64.

In in the Men's High Jump, freshman Bryan Cooper finished 8th with a jump of 1.80m. In the men's long jump, junior Mario Cheatem led the team with a jump of 6.63 meters, earning him 14th place overall. Junior
Kayron Johnson followed with a jump of 6.25 meters, placing him 20th, while freshman Bryan Cooper and
Joren Rentie achieved distances of 5.93 and 5.71 meters, respectively.

In the men's triple jump, Cheatem also led the team with a distance of 13.42 meters, earning him 6th place overall. Freshman Corey Brown achieved a personal best with a jump of 12.99 meters, placing him 9th, while Cooper achieved a distance of 12.68 meters.

In the men's javelin, sophomore
Jacob Ludwick had an impressive showing with a throw of 58.26 meters, earning him 6th place overall and meeting the NAIA A and NAIA B standards. Junior
Christopher Rosas also competed in the event and achieved a distance of 25.48 meters
