Brown, Perry, and Blount Earn NAIA All-America Honors at NAIA Outdoor Championships

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Ottawa University track and field program wrapped up competition at the 2026 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships with multiple strong performances on the national stage and three student-athletes earning NAIA All-America honors. Roy'Jane Brown, JayOnna Perry, and Daniel Blount each finished eighth or better in their events to secure All-America recognition for the Braves.

Brown had an outstanding national meet for the Braves. She earned NAIA All-America honors in the women's 200 meters, placing third overall with a time of 24.01. Brown also finished sixth in the women's 100 meter finals with a time of 11.88 after qualifying for the finals with a preliminary time of 11.82.

Perry added two more All-America performances for Ottawa. She placed seventh in the women's 400 meter hurdles finals with a time of 1:01.28 and finished eighth in the women's 100 meter hurdles finals in 14.18. Perry advanced to both finals after posting times of 58.88 in the 400 hurdles preliminaries and 13.75 in the 100 hurdles preliminaries.

Blount earned All-American honors in the high jump with a mark of 6-08, tying for sixth in the event. He also competed in the triple jump, finishing 23rd with a mark of 14.27m (46'10").

The women's 4x100 meter relay team of Perry, Brown, Jah-Nishia Campbell, and Peyton Hiracheta placed 10th in the preliminaries with a time of 46.03. Rian Boub represented the Braves in the women's javelin, finishing 30th with a throw of 38.04m (124'10"). JayOnna Perry also competed in the women's 400 meters, placing 24th in the preliminaries with a time of 1:13.48.

Domonic Atkinstall represented Ottawa in the men's 200 meter preliminaries, placing 16th with a time of 21.42.
