Baseball Takes a Trip North to Play York on Saturday and Sunday

The Braves took the series against Friends University for the second straight year last weekend, winning games one (6-0) and three (3-2). The Falcons took game two, 6-3. Ottawa hit .281 in the series, scoring 12 runs, and finishing with 12 RBI. OU had a .365 slugging percentage, and a .314 on base percentage. The Brave pitching staff had a 3.00 ERA, striking out 25 in 24 innings. Friends had a .230 batting average against Ottawa.

Through 32 games this season, Ottawa has a .299 batting average, a .389 on base percentage, and a .476 slugging percentage. OU has hit 30 home runs and scored 207 runs.

Cole Broughton leads the Braves in batting average (.373) and RBI (38). Tyler Bryant is Ottawa's leader in ERA (2.52) and strike outs (63).

The Braves are 5-10 on the road this season and have a record of 4-2 in their last six games away from Alumni Park. In those 15 road games, Ottawa has a .270 batting average and is scoring 5.1 runs per game. Ottawa has hit 10 home runs, had a .411 slugging percentage, a .345 on base percentage, and is 15-for-27 in stolen base attempts.

York University is 11-19-1 overall, has a record 10-6 in the KCAC, is 4-3 at home this season and enters Saturday's series coming off a 5-4 loss at Kansas Wesleyan University on March 28.

Through 31 games this season, the Panthers have a .284 batting average, a .395 on base percentage, and a .431 slugging percentage. York has hit 26 home runs and scored 200 runs.

Daniel Polo leads York in batting average (.410) and RBI (80). Ian Heck is YU's leader in ERA (3.05) and strike outs (46).

In seven home games this season, York has a .274 batting average, scoring 38 runs, hitting two doubles and eight home runs, driving in 36 runs, walked 26 times, striking out 45 times, has a .391 on base percentage, and a .442 slugging percentage.
