YORK, Neb. – The Ottawa University baseball team moved its winning streak to three games with a double header sweep of York University at Levitt Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Ottawa took game one, 2-0 and game two, 11-1.
Game One
Ottawa broke the scoreless tie in the top of the fifth inning.
Tyler Farnham singled to left and then stole second. A passed ball moved Farnham 90 feet from home. Zarchary Spradlin grounded out to third, scoring Farnham and Ottawa had a 1-0 lead.
The Braves increased their lead over the Panthers in the top of the ninth.
Gabe Eckstaine doubled to right and them moved to third on a wild pitch.
Cole Broughton scored Eckstaine with a sacrifice fly to right and the Braves took a 2-0 lead.
Caden Gray entered in the bottom of the ninth for the save, getting the Panthers out in order to give the Braves a 2-0 victory.

Game Two
Ottawa took the lead in the top of the third inning.
Cole Broughton hit a home run to left field and OU had a 1-0 lead.
The Braves increased their lead over York with four runs in the top of the fourth.
Robby Williams reached first on an error by the YU pitcher. He stole second and swiped third. On the wild throw by the Panther catcher, Williams scored to give OU a 2-0 lead.
Ottawa pushed another run across home plate.
Gabe Eckstaine doubled to left and then scored on a double by
Liam Vulcano, giving Ottawa a 3-0 lead. Broughton hit his second home run of the game, scoring Vulcano and Ottawa had a 5-0 lead over the Panthers.
OU extended its lead over York in the top of the fifth.
Pedro Astacio led the Braves off with a home run to right field and Ottawa had a 6-0 lead. Eckstaine's double to left scored Williams, giving OU a 7-0 lead.
The Braves added three more runs in the top of the sixth. Broughton continued with his hot hitting with a single to center.
Zachary Spradlin double down the left field line, moving Broughton to third. Astacio scored both with his second home run of the game and the Braves had a 10-0 lead.
The Panthers scored a run in the bottom of the sixth, cutting OU's lead to 10-1.
Ottawa scored one more run in the game, adding a run in the top of the seventh. Eckstaine hit his first home run of the season, giving the Braves the lead and the game, 11-1.
