NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Ottawa University men's track and field team participated in the Bethel University Invitational this past weekend, accumulation several personal records with some standout performances.Â

In the Men's 100 Meters, sophomore Jahkoby Franklin finished 9th with a time of 11.09 seconds in Section 2W, while junior Cameron Jackson secured the 18th spot with a PR time of 11.38 seconds in Section 4W. Junior Santino Gee also gave a solid performance and finished 21st with a time of 11.42 seconds in Section 5W.

In the Men's 200 Meters, Jackson performed well again and secured the 11th spot with a time of 23.06 seconds in Section 3W. Gee finished 14th with a time of 23.25 seconds in Section 6W, while freshman Camren Smith finished 21st with a PR time of 23.70 seconds in Section 5W. Freshman Gage Keaton also participated in the event and finished 29th with a time of 24.49 seconds in Section 9W.

Keaton also competed in the Men's 400 Meters and secured the 13th spot with a time of 53.34 seconds in Section 3. Christopher Rosas, a junior, finished 26th with a time of 1:12.64 in Section 4.

In the Men's 110 Hurdles, junior James Reeder competed in the Preliminaries and secured the 5th spot with a time of 16.27 seconds in Heat 2W.

In the Men's High Jump, freshman Bryan Cooper finished 5th with a height of 1.75m (5' 8.75"). Freshman Ismael Fadiga also participated in the event and secured the 7th spot with a PR height of 1.70m (5' 7").

In the men's long jump, the Ottawa University athletes delivered strong performances in both Flight 1 and Flight 2. Freshman Gage Keaton led the way with a PR leap of 5.74m (18' 10") earning eighth place. Despite challenging wind conditions, Keaton demonstrated incredible athleticism and skill. Joren Rentie and Corey Brown, both freshmen, also showed promising performances with jumps of 5.40m (17' 8.75") and 5.35m (17' 6.75") respectively.

In the men's triple jump, Corey Brown continued to excel, securing 4th place with a mark of 12.39m (40' 7.75"). Brown's consistent performance showcased his skill in this event. Freshman Joren Rentie also showed promise with a jump of 11.25m (36' 11").

In the men's shot put, freshman Carter Genzen represented Ottawa University with a throw of 7.76m (25' 5.5"), earning 24th place in Flight 1. In the men's javelin, junior Christopher Rosas delivered throw of 22.42m (73' 7"), earning 12th place in Flight 1.Â
